Lord, What did you say...

I don't know what happened. I had a wonderful, blessed weekend. Where did it go? Because as I'm approaching this weekend, it's not very blessed . OK, let me explain, I've had ear problems for the last few day's. I went to the Dr. today and it was like a bomb went off. He tells me I may be losing my hearing in my left ear. WHAT!!! That was my first thought. There weren't any fluid or anything wrong with my ear drum. What hearing test he did, he told me I didn't do very well. So if you read my blog, please hold me up in your prayer's. I know God has put in this trail for a reason and I just don't know what reason that would be.

A Blessed Weekend...

We had a wonderful Blessed Easter Weekend. It started when David took Carson to see his mom and dad. They gave Carson a small basket filled with Hotwheel's. He was so excited about the car's. He played with them for hours Friday Night. But while they where there at David's mom and dad's, I went to church making final decissions on the Easter program. It was so blissful. I was in our little church by myself, decorated beautiful for Easter, working on a program to celebrate easter. And here it was good Friday and I was at church. It was a moment that I could feel God's pressence there with me. I mean what a way to start off your easter weekend.

Then we took Carson to the community Egg Hunt Saturday. We had to help the easter bunny get ready (MY SISTER). Carson never knew that she was the bunny. She wouldn't say a word to him. She didn't want to give it away just yet. Got to the egg hunt there where about 50 to 60 little toddlers finding 2,000 egg's in his age group. It was crazy. Carson was with his Daddy while I took pictures and video. Well they found about 20 eggs filled with candy and sweets. While the Easter Bunny had to be with the other age group's, we took Carson to the blow up things. Carson did not want to leave. He was having such a good time !! But we had to go to my mom's house and dye easter eggs. He was getting tired and sleepy so we laid him down. We let him sleep for awhile. In the years past, I've been know to not let carson do it by hiself. So this year I was paitent with him. I let him be as crazy with the eggs as he wanted. In the past I got upset because the dye would not get off his hands. So this year I tried to be paitent with him, He did very well. He finally got the hang of it toward the end.

As we approach Sunday Morning, I could feel the presence of God. There was just something about how we approach Easter this year. So there we where in our Sunday Best. We got to church, had our Easter program. It was very moving, we shared the pain and suffering that Jesus had to go through to give us eternal life. I hope everyone enjoyed it. We took the Lords Supper. Just the whole day was good. We came out to mom's and had good food and hide the egg's for Carson. The only thing was it was soooo cold. We watch the movie King of Kings a tradition I hope will last. But what a Year to celebrate Easter with my son and family.

Our 9th Anniversary...

Well, we made it! As I look at the clock on the wall at work. It is now after two, so nine years ago we where in the middle of our wedding. Hard to believe that it has been nine years since we said those vow's. So here we are, nothing really big, just another milestone year. If you asked me the first year if we would see year nine. I would have said are you kidding me !!!
What started out just being friends, ended up in marriage. David ask me out on a date back in August 1997. The date consisted on eating at Dairy Queen, and cruising town. LOL!! That was the big thing in Paragould Ar. at that time. We dated for six months he asked me to marry him and then a year later we where walking down the aisle at church. What where we thinking!!! What are we doing!!! That's just it, we weren't thinking. So nine years later here we are.At the beginning of our marriage we didn't have really anything. We bought most everything from yard sales and flee markets. We got married really on a dime. We felt like family was important in a marriage, so we brought that out in our marriage. By allowing every family member take part in our little ceremony. It was simple and sweet. Or at least I thought it was!!!
What we have accomplished in our years of marriage are wonderful. We have truly work from the sweat of our brow to get where we are today. But we have the most beautiful son, who is three. He is the love our lives. We have our wonderful, caring family that supports us in all we do. Whether it crazy things that don't make since or singing together for the lord. They are always there. And we have Christ in the center of our lives. We knew from the very start that we could not survive without Christ. We truly keep him centered. And like we have in the past blogs, went through trial's, our lord is always there to help us through it.
It sounds crazy but we are those kid's that won't leave. What I mean by that, my Dad let us have a job with him. He ownes an Elect, HVAC, and Plumb Company. So I started when I was 16 working part time. David started when we first got married. So We have worked with my Dad most of our married life. People ask us all the time, "How do you work together and live together"? I really don't know how it ever works out. But we make it. We have been blessed to own a little house, two descent vehicles to drive. And we have our own sound system, to take with us when we do singing that we are very proud of. We felt like that was God sent. We are not going to be the Gaither's or Martins. But maybe David, Amy and Carson Roush one of these day's. We are just taking one step at a time. Because that's all we have had is time. Time to be with each other, time to spend with our son, time to spend with God. Our anniversary may tell the years, all we know is it tells the time and the memories of our lives. It's been good, and maybe many more to come. Only if the Lord will look upon us, as we travel another year of marriage.

Just Catching You Up....

Since Valentine's Day. Me and my husband have had major discussion on how he treat's me. I know something has been going on with him. Because he doesn't really talk to me anymore. So here we are fixing to celebrate nine years of marriage. I feel like I'm in this marriage by myself. All along I have felt like everything has been wonderful. We just have some issue's to work out. So I am leaving it in the Lord's hand's. I trust him with everything. So with us celebrating nine years of marriage my husband is going to get me a mother's ring of my choice. He told me I could pick out exactly what I wanted for my anniversary. I have wanted one ever since my son was born. So I guess that's what I will be getting. My husband's gift was a new lawn mower. We are so weird. Nothing romantic about our gifts to each other. But that's what he wanted also. Next year we will be celebrating our 10th Year. So we are planning a wonderful trip to Disney World down in Florida. Yes we are planning on taking our son. It's a big vacation for all of us. I have wanted to take both of them down there for a long time. Neither one of them have never went. I have went my Senior Year. But that's going to be our gift to each other next year. Can't wait. If we survive another year. LOL......
So with that said, we have been working on our Easter Program. I just can't believe we just had snow and now it's warm and pretty outside. We all thought we would be hiding Easter eggs in the snow. Why put Easter in the month of March? It doesn't make since. The children will be freezing trying to find eggs. Plus the outfits they make for spring are actually for summer. The will freeze !! We are planning on going to the big city egg hunt. My sister of all people, is the Easter bunny this year. How funny is that !! We are just wondering if she will be able to wear the heavy bunny costume!! It's been very busy around here. And it's hard catching everyone up, when I don't have a computer at home yet. So I have to catch you up in segments By for now.
