Count Down till I'm 30...

It's September 30, and only 19 day's till my birthday. As I think about my birthday approaching very fast there are many memories I have. I've had some wonderful birthday's and some that were not so wonderful. So I'm going to try to share some of my most memorable birthday's of the last thirty year's. Who knew thirty year's ago I would be blogging to complete stranger's about my life and family. So stay tuned because I will share with you some of the crazy event's and memory's I keep stored in my heart.
But today I want to start off by; saying Thank You to my Mom and Dad. Thanks for giving me a life full of blessings, family and friends. Thanks for engraving me the tools of life; God, Bible, and the knowledge of the Lord. There was not doubt in my entire life that I would go to church, that I was to be the best person I could be, or to keep my family very close. My mom and dad meet in the Moark Association Choir. My mom lived in Piggott Ar, while my dad lived in Paragould Ar. When they first meet, my dad was interested in my mom's cousin. (How Weird)But they eventually started talking and then going out. They dated for about six month's and then my dad asked if she would marry him. He proposed in his car going to church. He asked my Grandmother for mom's hand in marriage and she said Yes.
Then on February 14, 1975 on Valentine's Day Night they said there wedding vow's. In a little church called Gravel Hill in Piggott Ar. They decided to move to Paragould Ar, where my Dad was working for Larry Cup Electric. and my mom was a stay at home wife. My mom and dad bought a single wide trailer and 3 1/2 acres of land. After a year of staying at home my mom decided to get a job, she worked at the shirt factory in Paragould. After a couple of year's they decided to build a house. So my dad had in mind to start the building project, sale the trailor and rent a house in town. While they where building my Dad had a block wall, fall on him and broke both arm's and could not work. Mom was five month's pregant with me. So mom and dad moved in with my Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma took care of me and dad while mom was working at the shirt factory. After a year of living with my Grandparent's, my mother told my dad to put up some walls and a bathroom on there land. And that formed the one room house. My family up north would come down and claim it was a furinture store. But that is what we lived in till I was ten year's old. (I tell you this because most of my Party's was in the one room house.) They went to Blue Cross GB Church and my dad was a dedicated deacon within the church. My mom was a Sunday school teacher. And the church youth loved my mom and dad. Who wouldn't love them!!
Let me try to explain them to you. Let me start with my Dad first, He is a very Godly Man, He truly loves the Lord with all his heart. He has been blessed with the knowledge of the Lord and the Lord blessed him with a gift of song and piano. He started playing the piano, when he was eight year's old. He still plays for our church today. He has alot of knowledge of Electric, Heating and Air and now Plumbing. He owns his own business called G/G Electric. While most people see him all the time our family hardly sees him. We call him a work aholic. It's not a bad thing because he always provided for us. I love him and I never want to disappoint him.
My mom is totally opposite. She is a loving, gentle, happy lady. She ardors her children and grandchildren. I have to admit we all get spoilt by her. She loves the Lord with all her heart. Her special gift is song. She loves to sing and she does that by being in our church choir. She en joy's cooking and scrap booking. She is someone you can talk to and she helps you through your problem's. I don't want to brag or anything, but my friends loved hanging out with her. She acted cool and more of a sister than a mother. And that is how I feel toward her today. She is my mentor and my best friend. I love her so much.

Our family is a little different than most. We don't have much, but what we have we have remained a very close net family. We see each other everyday of the week. Why? Because we all work together and hang out together. We are not like most family's who can't stand to be with each other. In fact we love being around each other. After twenty nine year's of going through everything together. There is nothing I would change about my life. Because It all makes me who I am today. So just let thirty come!! I'm ready to face another decade of my life!! Counting down, only nineteen left to go!!!!

Going all out Spooky...

Well many of you don't know this, but I love to decorate for the Holiday's. So Halloween is no exception, I've been decorating for a long time now. I have collected many things to decorate my porch for Halloween. When me and David got married, we lived out in the country with no kids. But I still put out a Hay Bail with pumpkin's on it. It's just something about fall, makes you enjoy the clean crisp air and the crunch of leaves. Carson is old enough now that he en joy's helping me decorated. He has a big orange pumpkin that I bought him when he was a baby that lights up. He calls it his pumpkin. I got that thing down out of the attic the other day and he said my pumpkin, my pumpkin. He wanted to put it outside then. So tonight I promised him, we will be decorating for Halloween. We are planning on going to Pumpkin Hollow Saturday. It's a pumpkin farm in Arkansas. They have pony rides, hayrides, and a corn maze to go through. It's alot of fun for adults and kids. We always go around the first of October to get our real pumpkin's for the porch. So we will take a picture of the porch tonight and let you see!!!

T.G.I.F...

Well it's Friday again!!! Not much happened this week! Just meet with Carson's Teacher yesterday for, his very first parent teacher conference. Mrs. Karen told me, he is doing very well. She showed me that he knows every color, except gray. He gets that confused with Black! He also knows and recognize a circle and a triangle. But as of right now he doesn't know a square and a rectangle. He just knows his first and last name. She told me he is doing very well for his age. I mean he is three, it will just take some time. She also told me he is a very polite little boy, and he helps out in every way he can. The other day he told Mrs. Karen no, and got in trouble at school. Then turned around and got in trouble at home. This is how it works. Get in trouble at school, you get in trouble at home. NO EXCUSES!! So we took away his TV for the night. He told Mrs. Karen the next morning, "I'm not going to tell you NO anymore". She thought that was the sweetest thing. So it may not seem like it right now, but he is learning and becoming very smart. I am so glad we put him in preschool! I just want him to achieve as much knowledge as he can and make it count. That's about all that happened this week. Oh, Carson raised $77.75 from the Trike-a-thon. He gets a bear and a shirt. We enjoyed raising money for St. Jude's. Thanks Ginger for helping out!! Have a good weekend everybody!! Continue to pray for Malloryee Bales. Ginger is a very close friend and her daughter just had surgery.

On Your Mart, Get Set, Go...

Well, did you catch on with the title? Carson got to do a trike a thon at preschool today. I was so proud of him. He raised about fifty dollar's to help the children at St. Jude's Hospital. He will receive a free shirt. I don't think he did bad for his very first fund raiser. I made him ask the people, what was so funny is the older people at church reaching in their pocket's to help my son. He is so spoilt by everyone. What was so unique about this week, is they talk about Bike Safety. So the parents got to come at watch all the kids today at school. It was so hot and muggy outside. So here are some pictures I took today!!

If I had only known, he could have brought his own tricycle!!

The one he had was a little big for Carson. But we did bring his helmet!!

The Kid's went around the track, about four times.

They set up a Car wash for them to go under.
They all had a good time.

After it was over, we stood in front of the Banner they had hung up.

He is only three and I know we will be helping St. Jude's out many times.

So I want to say Thank You for helping my son, raise money for a Good Purpose.

Elemo Comes to Town...

I haven't made a post yet about Seseme Street coming to town yet. So here it goes!! Augest the 19 in Jonesboro Ar. was filled with Elemo fans. Little kid's of all ages. Big and Little went to the Convocation Center to watch Seseme Street. There was Elemo of course, Big Bird, Grover, Bert and Ernie and Etc... Carson had a blast. He watch Seseme Street at Mrs. Kissa's the babysitter. And when he went to preschool, he doesn't get to watch it very much. The plot of the show was making music. What can you make music out of. It didn't surprise me mom and aunt sissy spoilt him. He got a cd with songs on it, a stuff big bird. And a balloon of elemo's head!! CRAZY!!! It was fun and here are some pictures that we took of that night.

The whole night was soooo much fun. I advise anyone go if, you have toddler's or young children. They will love it. Oh, and if your adults you might like it also. LOL!!!

A Little Under the Weather Again...

I just don't know what is going on with me!! I woke up Monday Morning not feeling good. And I ended up missing two days of work. All I wanted to do was sleep. I didn't wake up Tuesday till almost 1:00pm. I mean I slept almost all day. Then yesterday I couldn't breathe and my chest was hurting. I think I'm going to move where there is no allergy problems around. Because my son is having to be on breathing treatments AGAIN!! I mean living in Arkansas is almost not worth it to me and my family LOL!!! But we will survive, we survive every year!! Did I mention I hate allergy season!!!

My Little Man...

Yesterday was Carson's first Dentist Appointment. He did very well! After getting there and seeing all the toy's, I didn't know if I would be able to get him back to check his teeth out. But with much excitement, he went back. They let him operate the equipment and check it out for himself (with their help of course). Then they ask him to lay down, he did wonderful. He laid very still for them. After the cleaning he got to pick out a toy, a motorcycle. Then they tried to take some x-ray's of his teeth. He began to gag and was getting choked. They told me it was not a big deal. That it wasn't life or death to get a x-ray. Because he was only three, they said it could wait a few months. They didn't want to push the ideal of freaking him out to get x-ray's. So anyway that's what happened at the Dentist. A very well behaved little boy. He got a new tooth brush and tooth past. He got a report card, with A+ on it. Looks good they told us. Will see us in March. So the Dentist became good friends of Carson!!

What we did on Labor Day...

Well, our Labor Day weekend went like this. Saturday was David's Aunt's 90th Birthday party. We went and hung out there for a little while. Then we went back home and being the good and wonderful wife I am. I let David go and play video games with his Brother and Cousin. I stayed home and made some cards for fall. I'm soooo excited how they turned out. I decorated my house for fall already. I'm just excited about fall for some reason this year. I gathered all my leaves and candle's, table runner's and my scarecrow's down. I don't have my outside fixed up yet, but give me a few weekend's I will have it covered in fall things. Fall is my favorite time of year. I guess because the big reason is my birthday is in October and we would have all kinds of party's during the month. So fall is and will always be a big part of my life.

Well we had our 5th Sunday Singing at Church, and we presented the program for the church. We worked on some songs and put together some new ones. I guess it went pretty good, we got a standing ovation. I mean, we both felt the spirit moving within our church. I felt pretty assume!! During the Singing Carson had a bloody noise. I kept looking down, at mom and my sister to see if they had everything taking care of. I mean as soon as church started, Carson looked at me and blood was coming out of his noise. Great timing when I was fixing to get on the stage. The church had to sing an additional congregation song because I was in the bathroom with Carson. But I new mom could take care of him just as well as I could. So all in all it was a wonderful night.

Then we all decided to go to six flags in St. Louis Mo. None of us had been there in a very long time. I got on the computer and found some tickets for 29.99. So with that we saved almost 80.00 for all of us. Which made up for the snacks and soda's we bought within the park. The down fall about six flags was not enough rides for Carson. It was hot, we did not have enough time to do both water and dry park's. We just did the dry park and ride all the roller coaster's. It was sooo much fun. We all agreed our most favorite ride was the new ride Evil Knievel!!! It was assume!! We got there when the park opened and we stayed until the park closed!! It was all worth it and my dad and mom got to get away for the day. My Dad road The Boss and The Batman by his self. He likes those crazy rides like that. We will prob. go back up there in the spring. It only took three and 1/2 hours to get up there!! We got in at midnight. But it was fun and we enjoyed our day off!!
