Happy New Year...

Just wanted to stop for a moment and wish everyone a very Happy New Year!! I hope God will truly Bless you in the up coming year. May you keep God in the middle of your life and always turn to him when things go wrong. God Bless you and your family!!!

Wow, 2009!! Just can't hardly believe it that a new year is here!! This year has been a year of life lesson's, life mistakes, life blessings, and we learned a hard lesson about each other. There is not a person that I have been talking to that 08 was not without struggles and disappointment's. It just seemed that everywhere we looked, God was teaching us a lesson of some sort. Especially these last couple of months. Lost of work, people getting sick, loved ones dieing.

There have been blessings this year, that we don't need to forget. God truly blessed us, in the fact we have a son, that have been released from the kidney doctor. God blessed me earlier this ear with the sense of me not being able to hear!! He blessed David when he was in a major car accident this year. He provided us the people and material's to fix our roof that was falling in on our house. He answered a major blessing in our life, that is to be unspoken!! God was also with us when me and David renewed our commitment to each other.

So there is so much to be Thankful for and we owe all of our Blessing's to Him. I owe him so much, and I want to make a promise to him. That I plan on making 09 count, and not to look back on what could have been, but what the future has to offer. We can not look back, but instead look ahead. NONE OF US ARE CERTAIN OF OUR FUTURE. But I am certain if God is in our life he will help us through anything. So my Blessing for you this year, is make 09 count for God!!!

Christmas is on it's way...

WOW...as I sit here at my desk, it's hard to believe that the entire month of December is almost over. There have been sooooo much going on it's not even funny!! Not really enough time to even blog. So what's been going on that has been so crazy, I will tell you!!

We had Carson's B-Day, Thanksgiving then Bame it's December. We decided to take Carson in for his four year checkup. Well he is average weight, he passed his eye exam, but failed the hearing exam. The right ear, there was no reading coming from it. So we decided to take him back to the ear specialist to get it checked out. They did the whole entire test on him, he ended up having a small ear infection, which caused him to loose some hearing at the time. So everything is good now. He also got his 4yr shots!! He did good, the last one they put in his arm hurt a little but he was such a brave boy. So we are set till he turns seven!! WOO--HOO!!

So now we start planing the Ladies get together, that was DEC 12. We had such a good time, but it completely wore me out. I had so many craft things to work on. I made the Ladies, a Candy Ornament, a Glass Ball Ornament, a Gift Tag w/Scripture, and Filled a Stocking filled with Candy in it. Put it mildly I'm on a craft low right now!!! I put so much time into working on those things for the ladies, that I didn't even make my Christmas Cards this year. I said NO WAY, this year!! But we had a blast, we had a pretty elegant dinner, and everything was so pretty.

I took three of our Long tables at church and placed them together and formed a large circle. Placed red silk table clothes on each of them. Then I took a Wreath, placed red and green glass balls on it. Placed Christmas Light's around with green garland. The Ladies got to eat out of Christmas Dinner Plates that me and my mom had. The Stage was an old rocking chair, fake fireplace, and the church's Christmas Tree. The whole thing was an event the Ladies said they would never forget. We played games and just enjoyed each other's company. We exchanged Ornament's. Plus everyone got a Door Prize to take home, from the church!! I think I've started a Christmas tradition over at our little church.

We've also had to deal with two Death's this month. One of our church member's, house caught on fire and didn't make it out. His wife and kid's went to McDonald's, so they where not around, when it happened. But he had some problems with drinking and was depressed!! We cannot judge him, only God only knows what happen in the last hour's of his life. But we had to sing, and David was a Pal Bearer!! We had his funeral. Then one of the men that we work with and came to church with us, lost his handicap daughter. She died very peacefully in her sleep. They said she had a smile on her face, like she was meeting the Angels!! So we where asked to sing at her funeral!! It just so happened that I have a song, "On the wings of an Angel." Very fitting, I thought. I tell you what it's just been something else. You wonder why God places these event's in our lives at certain time's. I think it's a lesson that none of us, don't know the day nor the hour of our lives. So make each memory and moment last!!

So as of right now, my focus is my son. And to celebrate Christmas with my family, friends, and just enjoy what this Christmas is all about. This is a special Christmas this year, because me and David have put our whole heart, mind and soul in the Christmas Gift's this year. I can't tell you what it is yet, but after Christmas I will inform you what it is!! It's a surprise for our family.

So this brings us up to the weekend before Christmas, and I only like a few things to get, then I'm done!!!!!! Like I said I want to recognize that the true Gift of Christmas is that our Lord. Sent down his love into a baby, so that we could no what true love and life is all about. I'm so thankful to celebrate his birth. So tonight we will be watching Ginger Bales, Christmas program at her church. I'm excited about watching it!! May God Look Down on us, and Bless all of us this season!!

Counting my Blessing's...

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! May we count our many Blessings that God has bestowed upon us this year!! The Blessing's that God gave us through the year, are too many to count. God has been truly wonderful to us this year. He has protected us and provided for us, when we needed it. He watch over my husband with his wreck. He provided for us when we didn't know where it would come from. He took care of of Carson when he started school this year. He provided us the extra money to place a roof upon our head's. He nursed me back to health, from my hearing problem. We offer up our praise and thanks for taking care of us this year, and may remember to always give God the Thanks!!

Carson is turning 4...

Well, just letting you know, we will be celebrating Carson turning #4 this weekend. It's just hard to believe that four years ago, we welcomed this precious little boy into our lives. It has been a roller coaster ride thus far with him. But we are truly blessed to be his parents, and I thank God for every moment with him, I'm sure David would say the same. He truly makes up both part's of us. We want to always to what is right for him, I know that is every parent's wish. We know that God has taught us to be patient through him. We tried to have a little one for a solid year and not know that God would Bless us with a little one. We just had to be patient. So since day one we have been in agreement to raise him in the way that we where raised. And to be patient with him, God is looking over us and I hope very pleased. That is my prayer today, that we are doing right in God's eyes. Because we don't know what holds tomorrow, we just know that God is in control. So has I look past on the four years, I have to ask myself, are we doing what we promised God? Are we raising him up in the way that God would be satisfied? I pray that we are!

Still Here...

I know, it's been awhile since I've blogged. But our lives have still been crazy for a couple of weeks now. We just got back from Branson, and let me tell you we had a good time. The only down fall was it was soooo cold. We went to Silver Dollar City, and saw it snow for the first time this year. We saw Christmas Lights, Christmas Tree's, and Christmas Music. Then there was snow coming down from the sky. It was perfect, a good time spending with my family.

We also got to see the Dixie Stampede. If you haven't saw it, it's well worth your money to go and see it. You get a huge dinner and a show. The only disadvantage is there is no utensils, you eat with your hands. There is Chicken, Corn on the Cob, Potato, Rolls, and Veggie Soup. It was all good, just alot of food for just one person. Thank goodness we backed out on getting Carson a plate. He ate with me, and got to set on my lap. There was a contest North and South side. We sat on the North and ended up losing. Oh well it was fun anyway, and Dolly Parton sent us a message. "To keep Peace and Love in our hearts, as we celebrate Christmas this year". She is a wonderful women who tries to spread her message to everyone!!

It was also a good time to get a little Christmas shopping done. Carson got some clothes, a coat, and I got some Scrapbooking things. It is so worth going up to Branson this time of year. We enjoy our selves. No men, No work, and No pressure of time. Just doing what we like to do. As long as we can do it, I want to keep going!!

Well what's been going on...

What you think of my new Background!! I love http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com it's free and very cute!! Thank You for allowing me to change and make my Blog cute and not boring!!

Well you know when the Cat's away the mice will play.... Mom and Dad left town for a couple of day's. So we are not really acting busy at all. I'm trying to find out how to make a spooky veggie tray for Carson's first school Halloween party. It's tomorrow, last min thing. I really wanted to do something special for him. But all I'm coming up with, the kids would prob. not want to eat. We are talking about three year old's. They are picky eater's anyway. So it will prob end up being a simple veggie tray. Anyway Halloween is tomorrow, and the costume that I had picked out for Carson he won't where!! I had it in mind, to not really spend alot of money on a goofy costume this year. I mean twenty dollars for a thing to where for one night. How crazy!! Anyway I come up with a construction worker. You know, shirt, jeans, and toy tool belt and a hard hat. We had it, no money and simple. But noooooo, he wont where to tool belt nor the hard hat. So my mother, bought the little guy a Thomas the train costume!! Spoilt I tell ya!!

So that's what we will be doing tomorrow night. I have a list of about 10-15 houses to trick or treat!! Mainly the older people at church. We save the big Trunk or Treat for last!! They have games and prizes for the kids. I try to get to everybody, but since it's on a Friday night, Carson doesn't have to be in bed early! The sad thing is mom and dad won't be able to see him in his costume!! Oh well, that's OK, we will be taking a bunch of pictures.

Carson went to Aunt Sissy's church last night and carved a little pumpkin!! He told me he took out the inside, because it represented sin!! He said he put a smiley face on it, to represent a smiling face for God. And he put a candle in to represent the light we should shine for God. How cool was that, I mean who would have thought of that!! So we will be lighting our pumpkin tomorrow night to shine our light for the world. Happy Halloween!! Be safe and Have some good fun!!

Ok...I'm Thirty!!

I know, it's been a week since I blogged. Well this week has been crazy at work. Our computer system decided to go on the Fritz's!! So haven't' had time to blog!! Anyway, just letting you know what happen on my b-day, well nothing really!! I'm now a week older and I don't feel any different!! I celebrated my birthday by putting together our Hayride at church. It was soooo cool, we generally have a small group. There where 41 people there and 12 of them where children. So the hayride, had about 25 people on it. So that was pretty exciting. Carson fell asleep on the Hay Ride. It's really hard when your parent's are in charge of an event and you have to tag around with them. So they are there for the preparation plus the event. So my little man did not have a nap all day. But we where glad everyone had a really good time.

This week was pretty calm in the Roush household, until Wednesday!! You see even though we work for my Mom and Dad. My husband still doesn't have a work truck. We never really have pushed the ideal of him getting one. So he has to drive his truck!! Well Wednesday at noon, he got rear ended pretty bad. He went to the ER, to get x-ray's and cat scan. He as a neck sprain, other than that he is pretty sore. We found out yesterday it's going to coast over $6,000. to fix the truck (way more than what the truck is worth). The frame bent and major damage to the back. I really don't know what is going to happen. What really gets me, is we had only two more month's till we paid the thing off!! We have been very excited that it was fixing to be free and clear of money!! Also it get's me really tick off at the guy, he wasn't even paying any attention of what he was doing. He didn't know he even hit David, until the airbag came out and hit him!! Plus the guy that was riding with him, had a warrant out for his arrest!! The little s-10 wasn't even his truck. It belonged to someone else. Plus the cop told us that he keep lying about some thing's. Luckily there was insurance's involved. Otherwise we would have been up the creek without a paddle!! We just Thank God that nobody got hurt.

I hope everyone else has had a good week!! Please pray for David and I. We are singing for a benefit singing tomorrow night. I'm very nervous, because it's outside. I'm just worried I won't here our music. Anyway, just pray that we will be able to spread God's Work through Song!!

Hope everyone will have a good weekend. God Bless!!

One More day till I turn 30...

Yeah!! Well it's just about here!! I Just really don't know how to react!! I walk in at work this morning and well let me just say it is raining the number 30 over my desk!! I've got a sign over my desk that declares I'm Over the Hill. I have a balloon with the number 30 on it. There are white and black streamer's hanging over my desk. The balloon's say Still Wild at 30!! I tell you what!! I do not feel old. There is so much that has happened in my life, and I don't know why I'm trying to feel different. It's just a number, a age, everyone will approach, this point in there life. So right now I'm just going with it, I'm turning 30!! I feel like I'm in one of those group session's saying...Hi, my name is Amy and I'm turning 30!!

Anyway one last memory I have, before I put my birthday memories to rest. Is when I turned eighteen. Where life as a Teenager ends and life as an adult begins. So Here is my last memory as a teenager.

I actually had a hard time figuring out what to do for my 18th party. I mean it was going to be hard to top my sweet 16 party. So I decided to go back to the park, and just have all my girlfriends around. Mom was able to help me on this party (No broken foot). We had another cook out, and my friends went crazy. We danced, we laughed, we talked, and we just hung out. It was sooo cool. As I think about it, It was one of the last parties, where everyone came together and just had fun. So here are some crazy pictures of me and my friends!!
There are a few pictures of me at church. My Grandmother made me a Birthday cake and our real good friend Mrs. Dorthy Johnson surprised me at church. I also got a suitcase for my birthday!! It was suppose to be for my graduation, but they gave it to me early. I had a Senior Trip to Florida and no suitcase. The whole 18th Birthday kinda gets me sad. I was the only grand daughter that my grandmother got to celebrate turning eighteen. I had my birthday in October and my grandmother died in April!! But she lived life full just like I'm planning on doing!!

There is nothing I would take back or do different on my Birthday's, because it was a chance to celebrate my life. No mater what the number on the cake is or was, or the amount of people that was around. I think everyone should celebrate their life. God created you and you should celebrate the miracle of your life. Soooo That's what I'm doing, because the old lady hasn't sung yet. So look Out World I'm Turning Thirty Tomorrow!!

Three More Day's Left...

I can't believe it is getting soooo close till I turn 30. I got spoil yesterday for my birthday! We had to take Carson to Memphis to the Dr. (He is fine, Right Kidney is still small but it is growing, plus he was very good to go through the testing they did. He told us that the potty training will just take time because he is not a normal little boy. So Carson got a clean bill of health. Thanks for Praying for Him, we appreciate your concern.)

Anyway while we where in Memphis, we went to my favorite place to eat Olive Garden. I love Italian Food, the only thing is we don't have one at home. So it's a special treat, to get to go. Plus we went to Garden Ridge, Love it, Love it. It's a craft store, and it's in warehouse!! I got to go down 10 rows of nothing but Christmas Ornaments!! It's sooo cool!!

I didn't scan any pictures of my last birthday memories, before I was an adult. I will make sure and do that tomorrow. Since I only have a couple of day's left. So that's about what happened yesterday. My mom ordered my Birthday Presents online and I'm very grateful for her. It's getting exciting since I will be spending my birthday with people I love. Our church is having a weenie roast and hayride. I love it, outside, cool weather, and having fun! What could a girl turning thirty ask for!

Four More Day's Left...

Today, we are going to Carson's Urologist Appointment! To make sure that his kidney's are working OK. Please keep him in your prayer's today!! I know in my heart that everything will be fine. So I'm blogging early today!!
This Post is a major event in my life!! I'm blogging about my sweet sixteen birthday!! It was a crazy event in my life. My life was busy with event's in band and choir!! That was my life back then and the people I mainly hung out at that time, where music people. I spent nearly everyday and every weekend with them. Friends that where like family to me!! So it was no surprising that my birthday party had alot of my friends. When I say alot, I counted about forty people showed up. It was sooo crazy. Plus during that time my mother fell and broke her foot, so I had to plan and had to have other adults to help out. Even my pastor and his wife where there. I was also dating a guy at this time, His name was Joel Hollis I meet him at a church function of my best friends! I dated him for a month or so. Then I broke up with him. But he was a couple of year's older.
Anyway, most sixteen year old's usually get a car. Well I didn't even have my license yet!! (How crazy was that) It wasn't till after I turned sixteen that I got my license!! So No CAR!! But I got to redo and decorate my bedroom. At the party we played games, and had a cook out. It was at a park, so there was a bunch of craziness going on. One of my older cousins, almost got thrown into the Lake. The party lasted till about midnight, and everybody started to leave. But it was fun, and to top it all off. There where no drinking and nothing wild. Just crazy southern fun.

Well told you, it was crazy!! Just another birthday!

When I was younger, I lived for Birthday's, I just don't no how to react to

them now that I'm getting older!!

Five more Day's Left....

WOO!! HOO!! It's five day's till I get Older!! I'm blogging about my Thirteen birthday today. Ok, Let's just remember I was a teenager!! LOL!! During this time, I was in seventh grade, I actually thought I new everything!! I had the bright idea of cutting my hair very short. During the summer before I started school, my cousin and I decided to put lemon juice in our hair. We set out in the sun at the lake. It turned my hair very blonde. It was awful looking. You be the judge of my hair style in the pictures. I was in 7th grade band at that time. So all I wanted to do was go to the Football game and hang out with my friends. It was fun, we came back and had cake and ice cream. So as I look upon these pictures, it's a common question!! What was I thinking. And I'll I got for my birthday where clothes!! It's been good looking back and viewing how thing's and styles have changed. About me and the people around me!! Plus it's embarrassing!!

Eight, Seven, Six, more day's left till I turn 30...

What a weekend!! It was soooo crazy, and not having the Internet at home had made my count off. So I'm combining three day's into one. I've showed you some of my most memorable pictures. I must say, it goes to show, people need camera's to capture the memories. Because without some of the pictures, I couldn't tell you who, what, when or where. My dad got a video camera when I was about ten years old. Some of the birthday's are on video, and It is so crazy when a group of young girls get together for a party. There is not telling what might happen. I'm just grateful that I was blessed to have those friends and blessed to have parents who let me invite friends over. It is getting very close till Saturday, and all that I'm praying for is that people don't claim that I'm old....
I'm blogging today on how wonderful my son is. This weekend he still had to get eye drops in his eye's from having pink eye, he is still having to do the breathing treatment's, and on top of everything he got his flu shot Saturday. By Saturday afternoon he was a very cranky baby!! He did not cry or whimper. In fact he got two suckers and two stickers. He was the only one of her patent's that had not cry yet. So he got spoilt by her. I guess for what all my son has went through, getting a flu shot is nothing to him. We go Wednesday to Memphis tn, to check on his kidney's. We will see how that day goes with him. Well got to get back to work...Just a quick post!!

Nine more day's left...

Just a quick post, because it's crazy here at work today. Carson got sent home from school today, because they think he has pink eye. Oh well, just counting down, the day's. It's Friday also, so I'm ready for the weekend!! Anyway, just watching the clock and the calender. Pray for our world, It's so scary now, and that's what everyone is thinking about. It's time to ban together and let God lead us in the right direction!! It's not about what we want, it's about what God will let us have and what he thinks we need! So I'm saying this right now, let us come together and pray for each. Time is ticking away.....

Ten more day's till I'm 30...

The day is getting closer!! And I'm getting excited!! It's a feeling I can't describe!! I'm finding out that it will be ok and just fine to turn thirty!! I'm just dreading getting out of my twenty's. Because when I was younger, twenty's just meant a young adult. Now I'm fixing to get out of that decade, and I'm wondering what's it going to be like in my thirty's!! What will change and not change in my life? What memories will have to blog in the future!!
But before I get into my thirty's there are still some birthday memories I just have to post.
When I was eight, nine and ten year's old the party's where just about the same. Family, Friends, and lot's of Presents!!! I had several friend's that I made during elementary and at church. You know friends came and they went, but my family where always at my party.
During those memories, I got several gift's from people. I was into Jewelry then, and my Grandma supplied with all kinds of cheap Jewelry. I got my panda bear ring during this time. I also got a heart pendent necklace. I got my very first Purple Jam Box, complete with my very first tape cassette. I believe my first cassette where the group the Monkey's!! My mom pick the tape out. I got my ear's pierced when I was eight year's old, so I got ear rings!!

There where so much I was blessed with!! Now I look back and I wonder, what did I have on, and what was up with my hair. But that was my style back then. And by this time I got my own room and my own space my own style. I thought I was in hog heaven. It truly was exciting to have your own room at my age. My friends that spent the night with me, didn't care at all to stay the night. Because we had wall's inside our house now. Wow, what some memories I have during that time of my life. I sometimes wish I could go back in time to a life that wasn't so complicated!!

Eleven Day's till I turn 30...

As, I look back on all those party's I had growing up, my seven year old party was very cool!! Back then it was very cool to get to have a birthday part at McDonald's. I mean for a seven year old!! But I was in first grade and getting to go to McDonald's was a treat anyway, much less having your birthday party there. At the time I had my party, there where no indoor plastic play things to play. What we had to play on, was a metal slide, a Hamburger to crawl in and a Merry-go-Round. Plus as I got older, they put the ball's to crawl in. Things have changed now, here in paragould they built a new McDonald's and it is more modern. With a indoor, plastic Playground. But I sometimes miss the old playground. I mean we made a ton of memories there. Anyway my birthday party had family and friends. McDonald's gave us happy meals, they made me a cake, and prizes. It was soooo fun! I got the most important toy, that I ever got. My Cabbage Patch Doll!! She had red hair and her name was Paula!! She became one of my best friends!! Later on I got the accessories that went with her. A very Big Birthday Party for me!! Here are some pictures... Only Eleven more Day's Left till I turn thirty!!
I'm keeping a Positive attitude on getting older!!
It's not helping that everyone is teasing me I'm getting old!!
I feel very Blessed to be getting older!!

Twelve Day's Left till I turn 30...

It's Twelve Day's till I turn thirty!! It's getting closer!! I missed yesterday's countdown. Oh Well!! The memories that I have from being six, seven and eight year's old are more clearer than when I was younger. When I turned six, mom and dad added on to the house, and my birthday party was in the remodel part. So in my pictures the walls and floor's are not done yet. My theme for my birthday was Rainbow's. I had my first over night party with some girls that befriended me in school. There was Jenifer Hardin, Crystal Nelson, and Crystal Myclung. Plus my sister had a few friends over also. (Never got to do anything by myself) at least she had someone else to play with instead of us. We had alot of fun and it was exciting for me to have friends come and celebrate with me. Mom just let us play with our toy's and let us sleep in the floor. We thought it was really cool!! Here are some pictures of my sixth birthday!!

I got a Barbie doll, clothes, and a Hug a Bunch Doll.

It's alot of fun to have your birthday around Halloween!!

Only Twelve more day's left!!!

Fifteen Day's till I'm 30...

It's Fifteen Day's till I'm thirty!! The next memory I have would involve of having sister to share my birthday with!! WOO HO!! So when I turned five there are no pictures of my birthday and I am not sure what I got. Because by my fifth birthday my sister was nine month's old and got all the attention. Plus I had to share my bedroom with the little brat!! LOL!!She always had to come and play with my friends. It wasn't just me anymore!! No, I truly love my sister and what we got from both our birthday's coin sided with each other. If I got a doll, my sister would get on her birthday would get the clothes or bottle's to go with mine. If I got a play stove she got a play sink. When your four year's apart, you have to share everything. Mom thought it was cut and bought us in matching clothes. It got very old being the oldest. It wasn't till later that I miss sharing my thing's with my sister. There are some birthday party's that she spent the night with my grandparent's while I had friend's over. I look out for her, even though we fight all the time, She is still my baby sister and I Love Her!!

Sixteen Day's till I turn 30...

It's another day down, till I turn thirty. As I posted on my last post, I really don't recall any memories of my early birthday's. But as I look at all those old pictures, I see family member's that I hardly see anymore. I had cousin's that are my age now, and they where there at my party's. It's amazing how times have changed, when family's don't see each other, much less go to each other's birthday party's. I found a picture of my 2ND birthday and my Uncle Billy (Mom's Brother) is playing with me in the floor with my new toy's. And now I don't even say two word's to him. Plus some of the family member's that where in the pictures I have, well let's just say they are not in the family anymore. Memory's from back then are coming up very short and hard to remember. Man it's hard getting older...

I hope everyone is enjoying me counting down the day's.

Now updates from this week!! Carson had his very first spirit week. Paragould is having there Homecoming tonight. GO Ram's. Now that Carson is part of the school system now, he gets to participate in some of the actives. So this week they got to where PJ's, Mismatch Sock's, and Wild Hair day, and Red, White, Blue Day. It was alot of fun dressing him up. It was really neat how the preschool work their spirit week into their age group. Tuesday they had a prep rally KINDA. They had the Hallway's decorated saying GO RAM'S and Let's get into the in Zone. So what they meant was the in zone was free book's for the kid's. The Cafeteria had green paper down, with yard lines on it. Then they had book's laying on tables for the kid's to head to the in zone to get a free book. It was really cool. Carson's book was called "The Brave Frog". So alot going on this week. Ready for Homecoming tonight. We will be taking mom out this weekend for her birthday. She wants to go shopping so look out world here we come!! Have a good weekend!!!

Seventeen Day's Left till I'm 30...

So, today is Seventeen day's left! Well I'm just going to share with you some pictures of my first four birthday's. I really don't recall any memories of them, because I was so small. I mean I got toy's and doll's. But the only thing that remains priceless today is when I turned four. My Grandmother made me a yellow quilt. She hand stitch the entire thing. It remained on my bed till I got married. It would still be on there but, It has started to come apart. So I placed inside my hope chest along with my double wedding ring quilt. Those two items are very priceless to me. As you look at the pictures, you can see the one room house. The only wall's that we had in our house, was the four on the outer walls. Oh and a wall with a door for the bathroom. It was our house!! I look back on that now, and I wonder what mom and dad where thinking. At least when we lived at my Grandparents house, we had bedrooms. I can't go inside a furniture store now, without thinking "WOW it's my old House". Anyway most of the people came to my birthday where mainly family and friends at church. I wasn't in school yet, so not very many friends. So here are some pictures of my 2,3, and 4 birthday's....

Eighteen Day's Left till I turn 30...

Eighteen day's till I turn 3o, I'm not going to give in and say I'm getting old. That is not true, but I do want to think back and remember some really cool party's I've had. First of all I entered in the world October 18, 1978 at 4:10am. I weighed 7lb and 6oz. My mom went to bed feeling, hurting a little bit. Then at around mid-night she woke up and her water had broke. Dad drove 80-90 up to the hospital. Back in 78 they gave the mother's a twilight medicine. So she didn't know what she had until she woke up the next morning. But she felt good and blessed. She had shared a room with another woman. And the nurse brought in a red headed baby, she thought it was me. But it turned out it was the other ladies. Then the nurse brought me in, with a head full of dark brown hair. Mom and Dad's hair was blond. It turned out it was me!!
AMY after mom hearing that name mom like it. Diann after Mom's middle name. And so there I was. I was the first child, the first grand daughter on both sides of the family. I was the only girl at that time in both of mom and dad's family. Let me tell you I was very spoilt. Well spoilt in a way of alot of Love and Affection. So from then on my Parent's where very blessed with me.
And they wanted to celebrate my life. The best way they knew how. Most birthday's, they didn't have very much, but she made sure we had a cake and alot of friends and family. As I turned ONE, thirty year's ago. (You know I don't remember that birthday) LOL!! Anyway, has you might have read in the post before, we didn't have a place to live. A wall fell on top of my Dad. He had broken both arms, had surgery three or four times on his wrist's that year. Plus had plastic surgery on his head!! So the only money coming in was my mom, working at the shirt factory. Enough money to pay the Land payment. So where did we live? My Grandma and Grandpa. Mom and Dad stayed in Dad's old Bedroom, and my crib was at the foot of there bed.
So I celebrated my very first birthday with mainly family.
My Aunt Carla made my two cakes. There was alot of family and some church friends.
Mom told me that I didn't like having the cake on my hands or in my hair. My gifts' where my Roley poly, some clothes, and book's.

While blogging today I reread my Baby Book and mom shared with me that there where alot of people that loved me and everyone wanted me. Mom and Dad had alot of baby sitter's. It just goes to show how close our family is and how we are there for each other.

Count Down till I'm 30...

It's September 30, and only 19 day's till my birthday. As I think about my birthday approaching very fast there are many memories I have. I've had some wonderful birthday's and some that were not so wonderful. So I'm going to try to share some of my most memorable birthday's of the last thirty year's. Who knew thirty year's ago I would be blogging to complete stranger's about my life and family. So stay tuned because I will share with you some of the crazy event's and memory's I keep stored in my heart.
But today I want to start off by; saying Thank You to my Mom and Dad. Thanks for giving me a life full of blessings, family and friends. Thanks for engraving me the tools of life; God, Bible, and the knowledge of the Lord. There was not doubt in my entire life that I would go to church, that I was to be the best person I could be, or to keep my family very close. My mom and dad meet in the Moark Association Choir. My mom lived in Piggott Ar, while my dad lived in Paragould Ar. When they first meet, my dad was interested in my mom's cousin. (How Weird)But they eventually started talking and then going out. They dated for about six month's and then my dad asked if she would marry him. He proposed in his car going to church. He asked my Grandmother for mom's hand in marriage and she said Yes.
Then on February 14, 1975 on Valentine's Day Night they said there wedding vow's. In a little church called Gravel Hill in Piggott Ar. They decided to move to Paragould Ar, where my Dad was working for Larry Cup Electric. and my mom was a stay at home wife. My mom and dad bought a single wide trailer and 3 1/2 acres of land. After a year of staying at home my mom decided to get a job, she worked at the shirt factory in Paragould. After a couple of year's they decided to build a house. So my dad had in mind to start the building project, sale the trailor and rent a house in town. While they where building my Dad had a block wall, fall on him and broke both arm's and could not work. Mom was five month's pregant with me. So mom and dad moved in with my Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma took care of me and dad while mom was working at the shirt factory. After a year of living with my Grandparent's, my mother told my dad to put up some walls and a bathroom on there land. And that formed the one room house. My family up north would come down and claim it was a furinture store. But that is what we lived in till I was ten year's old. (I tell you this because most of my Party's was in the one room house.) They went to Blue Cross GB Church and my dad was a dedicated deacon within the church. My mom was a Sunday school teacher. And the church youth loved my mom and dad. Who wouldn't love them!!
Let me try to explain them to you. Let me start with my Dad first, He is a very Godly Man, He truly loves the Lord with all his heart. He has been blessed with the knowledge of the Lord and the Lord blessed him with a gift of song and piano. He started playing the piano, when he was eight year's old. He still plays for our church today. He has alot of knowledge of Electric, Heating and Air and now Plumbing. He owns his own business called G/G Electric. While most people see him all the time our family hardly sees him. We call him a work aholic. It's not a bad thing because he always provided for us. I love him and I never want to disappoint him.
My mom is totally opposite. She is a loving, gentle, happy lady. She ardors her children and grandchildren. I have to admit we all get spoilt by her. She loves the Lord with all her heart. Her special gift is song. She loves to sing and she does that by being in our church choir. She en joy's cooking and scrap booking. She is someone you can talk to and she helps you through your problem's. I don't want to brag or anything, but my friends loved hanging out with her. She acted cool and more of a sister than a mother. And that is how I feel toward her today. She is my mentor and my best friend. I love her so much.

Our family is a little different than most. We don't have much, but what we have we have remained a very close net family. We see each other everyday of the week. Why? Because we all work together and hang out together. We are not like most family's who can't stand to be with each other. In fact we love being around each other. After twenty nine year's of going through everything together. There is nothing I would change about my life. Because It all makes me who I am today. So just let thirty come!! I'm ready to face another decade of my life!! Counting down, only nineteen left to go!!!!

Going all out Spooky...

Well many of you don't know this, but I love to decorate for the Holiday's. So Halloween is no exception, I've been decorating for a long time now. I have collected many things to decorate my porch for Halloween. When me and David got married, we lived out in the country with no kids. But I still put out a Hay Bail with pumpkin's on it. It's just something about fall, makes you enjoy the clean crisp air and the crunch of leaves. Carson is old enough now that he en joy's helping me decorated. He has a big orange pumpkin that I bought him when he was a baby that lights up. He calls it his pumpkin. I got that thing down out of the attic the other day and he said my pumpkin, my pumpkin. He wanted to put it outside then. So tonight I promised him, we will be decorating for Halloween. We are planning on going to Pumpkin Hollow Saturday. It's a pumpkin farm in Arkansas. They have pony rides, hayrides, and a corn maze to go through. It's alot of fun for adults and kids. We always go around the first of October to get our real pumpkin's for the porch. So we will take a picture of the porch tonight and let you see!!!

T.G.I.F...

Well it's Friday again!!! Not much happened this week! Just meet with Carson's Teacher yesterday for, his very first parent teacher conference. Mrs. Karen told me, he is doing very well. She showed me that he knows every color, except gray. He gets that confused with Black! He also knows and recognize a circle and a triangle. But as of right now he doesn't know a square and a rectangle. He just knows his first and last name. She told me he is doing very well for his age. I mean he is three, it will just take some time. She also told me he is a very polite little boy, and he helps out in every way he can. The other day he told Mrs. Karen no, and got in trouble at school. Then turned around and got in trouble at home. This is how it works. Get in trouble at school, you get in trouble at home. NO EXCUSES!! So we took away his TV for the night. He told Mrs. Karen the next morning, "I'm not going to tell you NO anymore". She thought that was the sweetest thing. So it may not seem like it right now, but he is learning and becoming very smart. I am so glad we put him in preschool! I just want him to achieve as much knowledge as he can and make it count. That's about all that happened this week. Oh, Carson raised $77.75 from the Trike-a-thon. He gets a bear and a shirt. We enjoyed raising money for St. Jude's. Thanks Ginger for helping out!! Have a good weekend everybody!! Continue to pray for Malloryee Bales. Ginger is a very close friend and her daughter just had surgery.

On Your Mart, Get Set, Go...

Well, did you catch on with the title? Carson got to do a trike a thon at preschool today. I was so proud of him. He raised about fifty dollar's to help the children at St. Jude's Hospital. He will receive a free shirt. I don't think he did bad for his very first fund raiser. I made him ask the people, what was so funny is the older people at church reaching in their pocket's to help my son. He is so spoilt by everyone. What was so unique about this week, is they talk about Bike Safety. So the parents got to come at watch all the kids today at school. It was so hot and muggy outside. So here are some pictures I took today!!

If I had only known, he could have brought his own tricycle!!

The one he had was a little big for Carson. But we did bring his helmet!!

The Kid's went around the track, about four times.

They set up a Car wash for them to go under.
They all had a good time.

After it was over, we stood in front of the Banner they had hung up.

He is only three and I know we will be helping St. Jude's out many times.

So I want to say Thank You for helping my son, raise money for a Good Purpose.
