Our 9th Anniversary...

Well, we made it! As I look at the clock on the wall at work. It is now after two, so nine years ago we where in the middle of our wedding. Hard to believe that it has been nine years since we said those vow's. So here we are, nothing really big, just another milestone year. If you asked me the first year if we would see year nine. I would have said are you kidding me !!!
What started out just being friends, ended up in marriage. David ask me out on a date back in August 1997. The date consisted on eating at Dairy Queen, and cruising town. LOL!! That was the big thing in Paragould Ar. at that time. We dated for six months he asked me to marry him and then a year later we where walking down the aisle at church. What where we thinking!!! What are we doing!!! That's just it, we weren't thinking. So nine years later here we are.At the beginning of our marriage we didn't have really anything. We bought most everything from yard sales and flee markets. We got married really on a dime. We felt like family was important in a marriage, so we brought that out in our marriage. By allowing every family member take part in our little ceremony. It was simple and sweet. Or at least I thought it was!!!
What we have accomplished in our years of marriage are wonderful. We have truly work from the sweat of our brow to get where we are today. But we have the most beautiful son, who is three. He is the love our lives. We have our wonderful, caring family that supports us in all we do. Whether it crazy things that don't make since or singing together for the lord. They are always there. And we have Christ in the center of our lives. We knew from the very start that we could not survive without Christ. We truly keep him centered. And like we have in the past blogs, went through trial's, our lord is always there to help us through it.
It sounds crazy but we are those kid's that won't leave. What I mean by that, my Dad let us have a job with him. He ownes an Elect, HVAC, and Plumb Company. So I started when I was 16 working part time. David started when we first got married. So We have worked with my Dad most of our married life. People ask us all the time, "How do you work together and live together"? I really don't know how it ever works out. But we make it. We have been blessed to own a little house, two descent vehicles to drive. And we have our own sound system, to take with us when we do singing that we are very proud of. We felt like that was God sent. We are not going to be the Gaither's or Martins. But maybe David, Amy and Carson Roush one of these day's. We are just taking one step at a time. Because that's all we have had is time. Time to be with each other, time to spend with our son, time to spend with God. Our anniversary may tell the years, all we know is it tells the time and the memories of our lives. It's been good, and maybe many more to come. Only if the Lord will look upon us, as we travel another year of marriage.
